--The Giants have now won 12 of their last 13 games away from home, the only setback being the Oct. 13 Monday night loss in Cleveland, a 35-14 puzzle. Minus that score, the Giants are 177-80 in their five victories. They are also one game ahead of last year's record after seven games.
--QB Eli Manning wasn't sacked by the Steelers, who left the game stuck on 25 sacks for the season. He has been dropped only six times now in seven games, lending credence to his claim that the Giants' offensive line is the best in the league.
--The Steelers were held to one successful third-down conversion in 11 tries. For the season, opponents have converted just 29 of 87 third-down tries against the Giants' defense.
--Sunday's home game against the Dallas Cowboys is the first of back-to-back games against NFC East foes. Next week the Giants travel to Philadelphia. Then beginning Nov. 30, they'll play three of their division-mates in three weeks (Washington, Philadelphia, Dallas).
--The game in Pittsburgh was the Giants' first appearance in Heinz Field, and they were the last team in the NFL to play in that stadium, which opened in 2001. In fact, these former twice-a-year foes hadn't met in Pittsburgh since 1991.
